- The Marketing Operations (MO) team is an operational arm of Chegg Marketing and is critical to its success
- The team is involved in acquiring customers through multiple marketing channels like organic search, paid search, email, social, affiliate, and display
- Going beyond customer acquisition, MO participates in analysing students behavioural trends to enable better business outcomes
- The team also monitors and assesses the industry landscape to generate actionable insights
The Role: Specialist -Marketing Automation
- The Specialist would need to have at least 5+ years of experience
- We are looking for a passionate and experienced candidate who will collaborate with different departments on the creation and release of a variety of simultaneously running campaigns and orchestrate all operational and tactical email marketing activities to align with the Marketing teams annual goals
- In this role, you will be responsible for building complex highly segmented, multi-wave and multi-channel workflows and journeys
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, experiment and execute complex highly segmented, multi-channel (email/onsite/mobile push/sms) & multi-touch workflows
- Build, test and execute promotional / auto / transactional / trigger Push Notifications (iOS & Android devices)
- Creation and mapping of transactional templates (passing JSON payloads)
- Offer management and targeting personalized offers to users
- Develop new email capabilities including segmentation and personalization, architecture, and maintenance of data tables
- Troubleshoot campaign/instance issues and provide solutions to complex workflow issues
- Partner with business stakeholders to analyze needs and challenges
- Partner with Product, Engineering and MarTech teams to identify and document product requirements
- Identify improvement and automation opportunities
- Track and monitor campaign results, resolve issues and report status
- Build new processes and update the existing ones
- Partner with stakeholders to gather data, business, and technical requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience using any of these CRM tools/ marketing automation platform (Braze, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce, Marketo, etc)
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Ability to make strategic messaging recommendations to drive organizational goals while ensuring an optimal user experience
- Experience in building multi-channel campaigns (email/onsite/mobile push/sms)
- Experience in end-to-end developing, testing, and deploying complex campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to write code using JavaScript, & HTML/CSS
- Proven record for problem resolution and successful completion of complex projects.
- Experience in configuration, customer, and recipient schema
- Experience in creating the offers and how offers can be targeted in a workflow with variations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, possessing an innovative, solutions-oriented mindset required
- Excellent documentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
Preferred:
- Experience in troubleshooting push notifications & handling auto-push triggers is preferred
- Experience in file management tools (CuteFTP, FileZilla, etc)
- Experience working with APIs - preferably SOAP and REST based APIs
- Experience in setting up triggers in web analytics platform (adobe analytics, amplitude, etc) and utilizing those in CRM tool (adobe campaign, marketo, braze, etc)
- Exposure to an Agile environment
