Overview:
System Admin
The System Admin plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the organizations IT infrastructure. They are responsible for implementing maintaining and supporting the companys systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain operating systems server hardware and virtualization environments
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and accessibility
- Manage network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and VPN
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect data software and hardware
- Perform regular backup operations and ensure data recovery capabilities
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate to vendors when necessary
- Manage user accounts permissions email and antivirus programs
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configuration and processes
- Conduct regular system audits for compliance and optimization
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance
- Participate in oncall rotation to provide afterhours support as needed
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to system administration
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of system security including firewalls encryption and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV)
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for data protection
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Experience with server administration and management tools
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA Server are a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and technologies (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Bash) is preferred
