Would you like to be involved with supporting City & Guilds in the delivery of T-Levels for Onsite Construction? 

We are looking for competent T Level Marking Examiners to join us in the delivery of the Summer 2024 assessment series and beyond.

This associate role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills and development. 

The Employer-Set Project (ESP) samples knowledge drawn from across the core content in relation to the specific project version context. It is an assessment that is externally-set and externally-marked by City & Guilds appointed markers, and is made up of several tasks that will take place within controlled conditions, assessing the knowledge and skills learned as part of the core element of the T Level.

The project is made up of tasks which all relate to the same employer-set project brief:

• Research
• Report
• Project plan
• Presentation
• Collaborative problem-solving
• Evaluation

The project draws on the content from the core knowledge that sits across all specialisms in Onsite Construction (specific knowledge and skills for each specialism will be assessed in the practical assignments as part of the Occupational Specialism assessment).

Core content covered in the Employer-Set Project:

• Health and safety in construction
• Construction design principles
• Construction sustainability principles

The project is linked to the core skills: 

• Problem solving
• Research
• Communication
• Working collaboratively with others

Potential Additional Duties:

• During the marking and awarding period some markers may be promoted to the role of a Marking Team Lead. Task profiles for this role will be shared once markers have successfully completed training.
• A selection of markers may be asked to input into one or more awarding meetings. Each awarding meeting typically is a full day meeting in July (Summer Series) and/or January (Autumn Series), which may be face-to-face in London or remote via Microsoft Teams.
