Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of SAP systems. The role involves working closely with other IT teams, SAP functional teams, and business users to ensure the overall stability and effectiveness of SAP applications.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, BW, CRM, S/4HANA, etc.) ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform system copies, client copies, and system refresh activities.
- Implement SAP upgrades, patches, and support pack stacks.
Database Management:
- Administer SAP HANA or other relational databases.
- Perform database tuning and monitoring to ensure high performance.
Security and Authorization:
- Manage SAP security and authorization concepts.
- Implement and maintain user roles and profiles.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
Backup and Recovery:
· Configure and manage SAP backup and recovery strategies.
Transport Management:
- Handle transport management system (TMS) configuration.
- Manage and monitor transports between systems.
Performance Optimization:
- Implement performance tuning measures to enhance system efficiency.
- Analyze and recommend system improvements.
Documentation:
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP landscape and configurations.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and business users to provide technical support.
- Collaborate on projects involving SAP system changes and enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator with in-depth knowledge of SAP architecture and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in SAP HANA or other relational databases.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- SAP certifications are desirable.
