Hi,
We have the opportunity with one of our renowned client.
- Analyse the growing business needs and carry out capacity planning and subsequent technology upgrade in accordance to the business requirement.
- Study technologies and solutions related to Data Centre, refer successful case study, attend industry events to prepare business plan and solutions.
- Manage and upgrade the existing Data Center environment (Server, Storage, Router, Network, Firewall, commvault) as to meet the growing business requirements.
- Ensure SLA bases System Uptime and High availability for DC services.
Manage multiple IT Project – Planning, scheduling, monitoring and tracking as per agreed timelines.
Reporting to Head of Infrastructure
- Analyze the changing business and needs; capacity planning and technology upgrade
- Evaluate technology and solutions thru participation in relevant events, study successful business case.
- Develop external network of peers to enhance skills/knowledge/quality of solution being developed
- Use methodologies like Design Thinking, build/present business cases to identify improvement opportunities
- Manage Data Center and related technology and services
- Adoption of security standard, framework to fix vulnerabilities related to Data Center device/service
Make effective use of monitoring tools & controls; SLA driven uptime and availabilities for various Data Center services
- Interpersonal Managing & guiding team to for higher performance and higher customer satisfaction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity
Responsibilities:
- Manage the existing Data Center environment (Server, Storage, Router, Network, Firewall, Commvault). Analyze the growing business needs and carry out capacity planning and subsequent technology upgrade in accordance to the business requirement. Study technologies and solutions related to Data Centre, refer successful case study, attend industry events to prepare business plan and solutions.
- Use methodologies like Design Thinking, build/present business cases to identify improvement opportunities within existing IT Infrastructure.
- Define standardized security framework and processes for management of Data Center and server room across all locations.
- Centralized and consolidated management of Servers, WAN/LAN, router, switches, configuration & maintenance, upgrades, Wi-Fi, Wireless Controllers security - Life cycle management, capacity planning and refresh, consolidate AMC/Warranty Renewal into a common cycle for better commercials and management.
- Manage the physical layer of infrastructure for exiting SAP servers within the Data Center and support the SAP Basis team to ensure system uptime and high availability.
- Participating in application / system architecture design and developing a risk assessment on related applications. Study the business case, evaluate Physical Vs Virtual, On-Premises Vs Cloud environment. Right sizing and capacity planning, performance and testing while setting up the environments, including the Sricity Projects.
- Security Risk Assessment process for evaluating SAAS based applications and services.
- Conduct periodic SAM Audit to identify noncompliance, and fix the same
- To fix the vulnerabilities identified during the VAPT and create periodic processes to review and fixing such risk permanently.
- Responsible for the delivery, management and availability of IT infrastructure through internal IT Support team and Locuz team.
- Implement Problem Management process for repeated issues within the Server/ Network/ Storage services. Conduct/insist detail RCA, analyse system logs and escalate to the relevant teams for permanent resolution.
- Make effective use of monitoring tools & controls. Conducting proactive reviews of production system/applications to ensure effectiveness, performance tuning, system hygiene & upkeep. Reporting key SLAs & operations metrics for DC device/services.
- Conduct a detail study for MPLS Vs Internet Lease Line performance and cost benefit analysis. Considering the critical DC application like SAP as part of the study. Carry out a value stream maps and optimize the network bandwidth availability for better efficiency, throughput and optimizing the bandwidth cost.
- Prepare a business case proposal for End User data back-up solution.
- Conducting regular DR Dills, for critical applications such as Mails, SAP, PLM etc.
- Prepare business requirements/functional specs/business case documents of areas that can be automated using tools and technology like RPA/Bots etc.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Adoption of IT values / udaan principles
- All stated projects/action points achieved within agreed timelines.
- Security assessment & VAPT findings related to areas managed addressed as per plan
- SAM Audit and findings fixed as the agreed plan
- Familiarizing with SAP environment
- Adopting methodology like design thinking for all major infra projects and technology upgrade
Ensuring the benchmark SLAs and OLAs for data center services are adhered and corrective measures taken in case of Gaps
