Overview:
The Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining financial records preparing financial reports analyzing data and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position is essential for providing accurate financial information supporting decisionmaking and ensuring the organizations financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
- Manage budgets and financial controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Handle tax preparation and filing
- Perform account reconciliation
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments
- Assist in financial planning and strategy development
- Manage payroll and accounts payable/receivable
- Utilize accounting software and systems effectively
- Provide support during financial audits
- Identify costsaving opportunities
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Support financial decisionmaking with data analysis
- Participate in financial projects and process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
- Experience in financial reporting and data analysis
- Understanding of budgeting and financial control processes
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of tax preparation and filing requirements
