Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead - Product Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the security posture of our products, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customer data. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead efforts to identify and mitigate security risks, develop and implement security policies, and champion security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing efforts.
2. Conduct security architecture reviews and threat modelling.
3. Collaborate with development teams to address and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
4. Lead the incorporation of security features into SaaS product design and development.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices in the development lifecycle.
6. Drive the implementation of secure coding practices and security controls.
7. Develop and maintain incident response plans.
8. Implement and manage security monitoring and alerting systems.
9. Conduct security training sessions for development teams.
10. Promote a culture of security through education and awareness programs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a product security role, with a focus on SaaS environments.
3. In-depth knowledge of web application security, cloud security, and secure coding practices.
4. Experience with threat modelling, security architecture, and vulnerability assessments.
5. Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
6. Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for security automation.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
