Hybrid Working
Structured Hybrid Role At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. Introduction Architect will be accountable for the accuracy and ultimate suitability of the end-to-end technology solution required to fulfil the goals of the various programmes/projects. He/she will provide domain knowledge and architectural direction across the landscape of the Payment and will ensure that the end-to-end technology design fully supports agreed scope, is fit for purpose, is fully scalable and is aligned to the 9 PCB stack. Solution Architect will need to keep them upto date with Industry asks, Technology domains and Fintech Offerings.
What will you be doing - End to End design including integration patterns, Landscape impacts for Major Growth Initiatives
- Support to Application Design, Infrastructure design and NFR impacts for components.
- Design for application keeping Micro service principles, API design, Open Banking and Technology Domain
- Working with Enterprise Architecture and getting Governance and approval for Solution designs.
- Evaluate and Adhere Security, Infrastructure, Data principles and ensure Solutions are aligned.
- Work with Bank wide teams falling under Front to Back journey for Payments and Produce High Level design.
- Work with Industry teams to understand Scheme and Wire changes and work on Regulatory mandatory designs.
- Building World class Payment strategy to ensure Barclays remain front runner.
- Work with all the business units across Barclays and ensure strategy and Roadmap are aligned and interlocked with Technology.
- Provide Solutions keeping Long term strategy and delivery in mind
What We're Looking For ï'
- Expertise in technology domains within payments: DevOps, API, Analytics, Cloud adoption and Process Automation; ï'
- Expertise in Service Orientated Architecture design principles and/or Cloud based solutions; ï'
- Knowledge and experience of Cyber threats, Information Security or Fraud; ï'
- Basic Education qualification –BE degree. ï'
- Experience in developing Target Operating Models, capability models and transition architectures that resonate with Board-level executives. ï'
- Proven experience in designing and/or building highly scalable and resilient core payment systems for global financial organisations; ï'
- Proficient in architecting solutions across disparate technologies to achieve the complex business objectives of multiple business areas; ï'
- Experience in systems integration projects that involve open source technologies and implementation utilising cloud based computing and APIs; ï'
- Knowledge of Core banking landscape and Products
Skills That Will Help You In The Role ï'
- Good Knowledge of SWIFT, SWIFT formats, Payment Gateways. ï'
- Good Knowledge of ISO Payment and Cash management formats ï'
- Knowledge of various UK International schemes like FPS, BACS , CHAPS, Target2, SEPA ï'
- Knowledge and experience in working with UK and International Payment processing.
