Job description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Prepare Benchmark test plan & Execute Vehicle level Performance testing of ICE & EV Benchmark vehicles (like Brakes, Acceleration, gradeability, Thermal mapping, Ride & handling etc )
- Data acquisition, data analysis, report generation, Review and release to stakeholders
- Benchmark Vehicle preparation and instrumentation.
- Co-ordination with outdoor testing agencies like- GARC, ICAT, VRDE, ARAI etc
- Knowledge of electrical components /System, Compliance global standards, Good knowledge of automotive Benchmark process.
- Willing to travel frequently to the outdoor test agencies at Chennai, Pune, Ahmednagar, Delhi etc.
- Testing Instruments functional operations, hands on with Multi channel CAN & Serial DAQ, sensor like VBOX, IMC, e-DAQ /Oscilloscope / Power Analyser/ Digital, CANoe, Analogue Sensors etc.
- Knowledge in diagnostic tools- CAN & Analog Data acquisition / and knowledge in EV component and their functions.
- Issue analysis using problem solving techniques and tools.
- Collect lesson learnt from other projects & overall vehicle.
- Preparation of project specific jury evaluation questionnaire.
- Interacting with Instrument agencies for new requirement & procurement/ Initiatives for procurement process align with company process tools – SAP/Cordys
Experience
4 to 6 Years in Vehicle Performance & Benchmarking from OEM
Industry Preferred
Automotive Instustries, Engineering technology Service industry, Tyre manufacturing R&D
Qualifications
Degree in Automobile/ Mechanical / Mechatronics
Competencies
General Requirements
1) Knowledge of Vehicle Benchmarking process & experience in testing & measurment of different vehicle attributes using different measuring tools., sensor & DAQ. Like CAN data loggers (Vector Canoe/ Cananalyser, Influx, Ipetronics, CSS ) and
2) DAQ - IMC, V Box, Agilent, Influx Loggers, Ipetronics, Thermo modules,
3) Software usage - Busmaster, IP Emotion, V Box suite, IMC devices, Vector Ver 10 and above (Cananalyser) etc.
4) Ability to work with cross functional teams.
5) Desirable knowledge of overall vehicle level electrical architecture.
