About This Opportunity

As a key member of the International Talent Acquisition leadership team, you will lead the Indian TA team to develop and execute on strategies to attract top talent. This role reports to the Head of International Talent Acquisition and is responsible for executing the global strategy plan for this region. As a member of TA Leadership team, you will participate in global projects, drive important initiatives, collaborate with colleagues and share successes and challenges.

We are looking for someone with a demonstrated track record of succeeding in an ever-evolving organization along with the ability to grow established team members and make / create strategy recommendations.

As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the recruitment process, allocation of work and workload management for a team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Advisors and Sourcers to ensure maximum effectiveness. Providing day-to-day guidance on recruiting processes, creative solutions or tools for challenging searches, managing expectations of hiring managers and candidates
  • Driving and cultivating innovation and operational efficiencies to create a best-in-class talent acquisition organization
  • Working closely with the TA Operations function to ensure that a superior candidate experience that is reflective of our culture and unique to the marketplace is being cultivated
  • Developing and establishing recruiting strategies and processes aligned with business objectives and company goals
  • Managing, mentoring and developing a team across India including TA Managers, Snr TA Advisors, TA Advisors and Sourcers
  • Overseeing other TA verticals (e.g: TA Operations) within the country to ensure a One team approach
  • Building and maintaining proactive partnerships with all client groups to better understand their business, manage their staffing needs and issues, and offer ideas, solutions and tools
  • Driving recruiting strategies that continually replenish candidate pipelines based on market conditions and current and projected engagements/needs
  • Working closely with the Indian P&C teams to ensure that all TA processes adhere to the local employment legislation
  • Partnering with the APAC DEI group, creating and inspiring effective development of targeted attraction methods within the team to support WBD's recruitment and D&I objectives and generate candidate interest
  • Using a metrics-based approach to ensure the company hiring plan is achieved efficiently, using benchmarks for planning purposes and taking a data driven approach
  • Working closely with the Early Careers team to ensure that appropriate Early Careers programmes are being developed to pipeline future talent for the region
  • Partnering with hiring leaders, P&C Leads, and other recruiting stakeholders

About You

  • Solid experience and expertise in Talent Acquisition at a managerial level or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing a high performing TA team ideally within the local market
  • Experience working with external vendor relationships – ideally experience with an MSP
  • Demonstrable experience managing and delivering complex TA projects across multiple territories
  • Experience working with and implementing employment legislation across India
  • Previous experience successfully managing multiple territory stakeholders
  • Strong professional demeanour using good judgment, maturity, strategic mindset and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Exceptional communication skills to cultivate and manage effective relationships with a wide range of individuals across the organization
  • Must have strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and ability to manage in ambiguity
