Director Supply Chain Management - Job Description

We're seeking a Director Supply Chain Management in Mohali or Bangalore, India to join our team. Job Location Job Location: Mohali or Bangalore, India. Job Description / Role The Director Supply Chain Management's overall role is to oversee all supply and distribution matters. The Director Supply Chain Management is responsible for arranging and monitoring the movement of goods and services. The Director Supply Chain Management also ensures that devices are delivered on schedule, in good condition, and at a reasonable rate. The Director Supply Chain Management also manages supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance standards. Job Description / Role The Director Supply Chain Management is required to work with AVASO suppliers (Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, HP, etc..) and with 26 AVASO depots and is responsible for the timely ordering and delivery of devices to these depots and to AVASO’s clients. The Director Supply Chain Management is focused on quality delivery of IT products and services and on the SLAs. Roles and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Develop AVASO’s Supply Chain Operational Strategy, consisting of four element: Sourcing, IT Hardware configuration and imaging, Delivery, and Returns; Develop sources for procuring supplies, services, and equipment for the OEMs working with the OEM Account Manager(s), contacting vendors, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks; Decide on the supply and distribution methods by tracking the efficiencies of each delivery mode, e.g. road, air, and road; Manage returns to suppliers for rejected devices by assuring these devices are up to standard through rejection reasons; Head the supply chain department by ensuring all subordinates are in line and performing according to the department's mandate; Manage compliance with the client SLAs for delivery of IT hardware; Ensure all local rules, regulations, and tax laws are followed in each country where hardware is shipped; Procure quality items by ensuring all purchases are made according to the agreed specifications; Grow the supplier database by creating alliances with distributors. Qualifications The Director Supply Chain Management's role requires a self-driven self-starter who has strong problem-solving skills and has the following qualifications: Advanced degree in purchasing, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field is a prerequisite; Relevant industry experience with a minimum 18 years of supply chain management experience; Good understanding of the operation and maintenance of IT equipment, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, and servers Ability to prioritize and multitask in a customer-focused global environment; Ability to learn existing systems and follow procedures accurately Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills Excellent communication skills are mandatory Strong Work Ethics Open availability to work with different time zones, in particular US East Coast Ability to travel on short notice when required (must have a passport).Job tags
