Requirements
About the Role:
Cognativ is seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer specializing in DevOps to join our team. In this role you will take ownership of solution architecture and DevOps practices within the company collaborating closely with toplevel roles such as operations head of engineering and the CTO. Your contributions will be instrumental in estimating project infrastructure providing deep architectural insight and ensuring the stability scalability and efficiency of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own DevOps and system architecture within the company ensuring stability scalability and efficiency of our projects.
- Support developers and junior DevOps team members in their projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously especially during the early stages to estimate project requirements complete necessary setup and meet project deadlines.
- Develop and normalise DevOps practices: While most projects adhere to a standard model others may require more diverse and complex solutions. Standardization is essential for consistency and efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive architectural insight and guidance for complex backend projects including those incorporating AI and other advanced technologies.
- Collaborate with developers to understand their needs and challenges offering solutions to facilitate their success.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and best practices in DevOps cloud computing and software architecture.
Required skills and qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in computer science or a similar discipline is required for education.
- At least 8 years of expertise working with DevOps environment.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Experience with serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP DNS and load balancing.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge about micro services architecture monolith and server less.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in cloud environments.
- Proven experience in DevOps and system architecture roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and support effectively.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and a proactive resultsdriven mindset.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

- Certifications in AWS and Azure are a plus.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies and their deployment in cloud environments.
