Job description

At least 12 years of experience with BE or B.Tech in electrical / Instrumentation and shall be having the following experience:

  1. Designing and estimation of power, control and instrumentation systems for Engine/ Motor driven compressors in safe & hazardous areas for various gases applications like Air, Nitrogen, LNG, CNG gas, Biogas application packages etc
  2. Pre/Post-bid tendering including floating of enquiries, techno-commercial comparisons /negotiation discussions and vendor selection.
  3. Preparation of project activity schedules for E & I, Lead and manage the manpower and resources, maintain hourly logging of engineering hours. Monitoring of the project document preparation and approval at review meetings and ensure timely delivery of documents, maintaining the task status sheet, reviews of the projects etc
  4. Preparation of P & I Diagrams as per ISA, Cause and effect list, specifications of electrical equipment s as well as all instruments, G A and wiring diagrams of the Relay/ PLC based Control panels, cable schedules, terminal schedules, ferrule schedules, Instrument BOM, cabling accessories BOM, Logic diagrams and control write-ups, etc for Compressor plants/ generating sets. Also generating of electrical and instrumentation BOM in ERP software s.
  5. Approval of GA / wiring diagrams & datasheets for motor, panels and instruments from Customers.
  6. Selection of electric motors, Relay / PLC based control panels, SCADA, Data loggers, Controllers and cables for hazardous as well as safe areas.
  7. Selection of Instruments such as gauges, Indicators, Indicating controllers, transmitters, recorders, Flow meters, orifices, Control valves, On/Off valves and Solenoid valves for hazardous as well as safe areas.
  8. On receipt as well as vendor s place inspection of motors, control panels, MCC s and all instruments as per QAP/ specifications/ approved datasheets.
  9. Development of team by preparation of the competency matrix and IDP( Individual development plan for individual engineers, understanding their training needs and their training through internal as well as external means. Monitoring and review of performance and capabilities of individuals at regular intervals.
  10. Co-ordination with client / consultants and suppliers for technical discussions, document approval process.
  11. Commissioning / trouble shooting assistance for relay/ PLC based control panels, instruments and HT/ LT motors driven as well as engine driven compressors.
  12. To contribute towards the development of the technical databank, formats for all documents focusing the standardization needs, developing processes for documentation, training and presentations for juniors, formatting of checklist for various work activities based on experience.
  13. Pre/Post-bid tender support to Sales/ customer center s in estimation of electrical and instrumentation systems meeting end customer s requirement on topmost priority. Attending the technical meetings during pre-order and post-order.
  14. Bringing in new concepts/ Innovations/ efficiency improvement projects for faster delivery and error free Engineering Deliverables / drawings. Implementation of such concepts and realisation in existing teams.
