Job description

Job Title: Manager - Purchase

 

Department: Commercial

Location: HO

Reporting To: CFO

 

Purpose Statement:

Ensure cost efficient and flawless, technically superior design to help MI system installation on farmers field

 

Persons Supervised: List by Job Title, those jobs that report to the job holder

 

As part of the multi-skilled workforce culture, any employee may at some point be trained to work in other roles within the Organisation. The key tasks and responsibilities are underlined below. However these are not an exhaustive list of duties. Other temporary duties, may be assigned by the management as and when required.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

 To develop & negotiate with the new vendors.

 To prepare Purchase Order Performance Data and follow-ups for timely delivery.

 To Maintain Historical Data of Vendors, Analysis Chart etc.

 To ensure timely supplies and provide Dispatch Records to related Branch and follow-up for timely deliveries.

 To ensure rejected material to be return to vendors.

 To share the product specifications with the internal & external stakeholders of the company.

 To codify the products and arrange the inventory.

 To Prepare the report of Payment Vs Purchase Data of Vendors.

 To Follow-up for payments of Vendors and payments of Transporter.

 Striving skill upgradation and managerial excellence for developing self.

 

Other Duties:

 Need based Co-ordination during technical discussion in and outside company 

 Supervision of complete application

 Understanding farmers requirement and field limitation prior to suggesting a particular design

Essentials:

 Candidate should have in-depth understanding in Govt. norms and compliance

 Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PPT.

 Expertise in computer application | Statistical analysis

 Good analytical skill

 

Desirable

 Male/Female with 4 to 6 years of proven experience in the same or similar industries

 M.BA

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Special Aptitudes required

Environmental Responsibilities:

-To ensure responsible use of resources, i.e. energy - turn off computers, printers, photocopiers and lights when not in use. 

-To ensure air condition and heating is not on whilst windows are open.

-To pay due care and attention to reduce, re-use, recycling and disposal of waste, i.e. ensure waste is placed into the correctly marked bins.

-To be aware of environmental objectives and targets
