Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire and Safety Officer to join our team at Plantrich Agri Tech Pvt Ltd in Kottayam, Kerala. As a Fire and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and facilities. This is a full-time position and requires a senior-level candidate with 7 to 10 years of experience.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proven experience as a Fire and Safety Officer
  • Extensive knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems and practices
  • Experience in industrial safety and working in factory environments
  • Certifications in fire safety and occupational health and safety
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to conduct training and drills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations
  • Knowledge of first aid and emergency medical procedures

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage fire and safety policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Develop and implement fire prevention and emergency response plans
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire and safety regulations
  • Train employees on fire and safety protocols and conduct drills
  • Maintain fire suppression systems, equipment, and emergency response tools
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses
  • Coordinate with external agencies, such as fire departments and government inspectors
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fire and safety programs
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to enhance workplace safety
