Job description

Job Title: Purchase Assistant

Department: Purchase

Location: Science City, Ahmedabad

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 0-2 Years

Salary Range: 2,50,000 – 3,50,000 Annually

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor/Supplier Coordination:

· Liaise with vendors/suppliers to obtain quotes.

· Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

2. Purchase Order Processing:

· Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders.

· Ensure accuracy and adherence to procurement policies.

3. Coordination:

· Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs.

· Ensure effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.

4. Documentation:

· Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to purchases, invoices, and supplier agreements.

· Ensure compliance with record-keeping standards.

5. Supplier Relationship:

· Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

· Facilitate communication and resolve issues to ensure smooth procurement processes.

6. Quality Checks:

· Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure received goods meet specified standards.

· Address any quality concerns promptly.

7. Reporting:

· Generate reports on purchase activities, vendor performance, and other relevant metrics.

· Provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Basic Skill Sets for Candidates:

1. Educational Background:

· Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, supply chain management, or related field.

2. Communication Skills:

· Effective communication skills for vendor interaction and internal coordination.

3. Computer Skills:

· Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

4. Organizational Skills:

· Strong organizational skills to manage purchase orders, invoices, and documentation.

5. Attention to Detail:

· Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase transactions.

6. Team Collaboration:

· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

7. Problem-Solving:

· Capacity to identify and resolve issues related to purchases and vendors.

8. Adaptability:

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
