JOB DESCRIPTION – LEAD ENGINEER [ PLANT ENGINEERING] Qualification: Full time Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputed college/University.
Experience: Minimum 06 to 08 years of experience in the field of Combined Cycle Power Plants and conventional / supercritical thermal power plants preferably from EPC / Consultancy companies that deals with design, proposals/bidding, engineering, procurement and construction activities of a power plant.
Skills & Responsibilities: He should be able to work in a team and self- driven with good interpersonal & good communication skills. He should be able to work independently and capable of fast decision making / guide team of engineers and handle project engineering activities of multiple projects.
- He should be familiar with various equipment like Gas Turbines & auxiliaries, Steam Turbine & Auxiliaries, Boiler/HRSG & auxiliaries and Balance of Plant Equipment's etc.
- The candidate shall be conversant with Indian & International codes and standards like HIS, ASME, HEI, NFPA, etc., He shall have adequate computer knowledge and conversant with Thermo flow software & SPPID is/will be an added advantage.
- He should be ready to undertake long term/short term deputations to Mitsubishi Power (MPW)-Japan / Other MPW international offices and also project sites.
- The roles and responsibilities include the following for the above systems.
Ø Review of customer specification and preparation of deviation and clarifications
Ø Preparation of basic system design.
Ø Preparation of process schematics & PIDs, HBD's and Water Balance.
Ø Equipment sizing calculations like Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers etc.
Ø Knowledge / experience on Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) & Boilers.
Ø Preparation Inquiry/Purchase Spec Preparations.
Ø Bid Evaluation and selection of vendors.
Ø Preparation of proposal documents
Ø Review of vendor drawings
Ø Vendor management.
Ø Internal Coordination with various departments like Civil, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation etc.
Ø Participating meetings with customer, vendors and consortium partners.
Ø Coordinate with Vendor and site team during the execution stage.
Ø Site visit as and when required during erection and commissioning
