Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field. Relevant certification will also work
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the software or SaaS industry.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise content for diverse audiences.
- Experience in creating user guides, release notes, and instructional materials.
- Familiarity with Automation or AI concepts and terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and platforms.
- A portfolio of relevant writing samples showcasing your ability to explain technical concepts effectively is highly advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the development and product teams to gather information about new feature releases, updates, and enhancements.
- Craft comprehensive and user-friendly release notes that highlight the benefits, functionalities, and changes introduced in each software update.
- Ensure that technical information is communicated in a manner understandable to both technical and non-technical users.
- Create detailed, step-by-step guides and tutorials to assist users in effectively using various features and functionalities of the platform.
- Regularly update and maintain existing documentation to reflect changes in the software and ensure accuracy of information over time.
- Develop user-friendly documentation that simplifies complex processes and empowers users to navigate the platform confidently.
- Completely own platform text, including user interface labels, tooltips, error messages, and other text elements, for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure that the platform's textual content aligns with the overall user experience and branding guidelines.
- Assist in drafting user communication materials such as emails, announcements, and notifications to inform users about new features, updates, and relevant platform information.
- Monitor user feedback and inquiries to identify areas where documentation can be improved or expanded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, design, and customer support, to gather insights and information required for content creation.
