About The Role Reporting to the Deputy Editor, Print, the Editor contributes to the growing editorial team in our India office, working specifically on our print publications. This role will support our Birds & Blooms and The Family Handyman books, among other books and magazines.
About You You are a creative writer and editor with the collaborative spirit necessary to produce quality, on-brand content for our print products, including books and magazines, specifically the Birds & Blooms and The Family Handyman books. You have an eye for detail, never miss a deadline and can work collaboratively with fellow editors and designers. You have a knack for rewriting and repackaging content that feels fresh to our loyal, engaged audiences.
Your Day-to-day - Employ your creative skills as a writer and editor, crafting captivating copy and headlines that give our readers another way to enjoy and engage with our content
- Collaborate with brand leads and designers to see the editorial books through to completion, including editorial tasks such as story selection, light fact-checking, rewriting, copyfitting, caption writing, checking photo credits, proofreading
- Creatively repackage content from one print product to be used in another
You have: - A bachelor's degree in journalism, English or communications, and a familiarity with AP style
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in editorial roles
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with editorial and design team members to get the best overall creative results
- An organized, thorough and deadline-oriented approach to content creation
- Experience with content production tools such as InCopy and a content management system
About this team: The Editor, Print position is critically important to the success of the Print Editorial team and TMB overall.
