Job description
We are looking for a qualified Field Compliance Coordinator/Specialist to join its team. We provide recruitment solutions to various industries including Oil & Gas, Petroleum, Infrastructure, Energy, Water, Transportation, Science & Technology and Health Care. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, primarily in the Oil & Energy industry. The Field Compliance Coordinator/Specialist will need to have excellent technical knowledge and communication skills to effectively communicate with the company's stakeholders and ensure compliance across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Field Compliance Coordinator/ Field HSE Advisor with relevant Onshore Oil & Gas Well Drilling & Work-Over (D&WO) expertise, to join the Unconventional Resources Drilling team. As a successful candidate you will be responsible for the operational adherence and compliance to company safety/health/environment standards, in addition to implementing, developing and improving tailored in-house policies and procedures. The position requires a wide knowledge and experience in safety and compliance processes/policies, in addition to a deep understanding of D&WO operations, particularly related to onshore rig operations. Duties and Responsibilities: You will be required to perform safety and compliance duties, including:
- Act as operations division Field HSE Advisor, assigned for your division rigs/wellsite’s for matters related to safety, loss prevention, environment, occupational health, compliance and operational excellence.
- Conducting audits & inspections per Our D&WO Safety Management System and as directed by your Operations Superintendent & Department HSE Coordinator, and in meeting the department operations’ safety objectives and expectations. This includes assisting engineering, operations and HSE teams in upkeeping existing and developing new safety processes related to risk assessment and management, safety training, asset integrity, safe operations, environmental protection, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, incident investigations, operational excellence etc.
- Conduct frequent scheduled or ad-hoc field inspections of unconventional rigs/operations sites.
- Participate in various safety studies/activities, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, rig move activities.
- Participate in or lead risk studies or conduct consequence analyses.
- Conduct pre-commencement inspections for new rigs.
- Review rigs equipment engineering designs & preventive maintenance records for compliance with company and industry safety standards.
- Respond to emergency situations and incidents, either during or after regular working hours, to provide technical assistance and advice.
- Participate in developing and promoting on- or off-job safety educational programs, to address safety issues or concerns. Assigned tasks may include: preparation of articles for publication, development of promotional materials, and delivery of presentations.
- Act as a mentor to rigs foremen in regards of all HSE maters.
- Guide & evaluate rigs’ safety officers for compliance to SA D&WO requirements.
Requirements
- As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering or science discipline, with 10-15 years of extensive D&WO HSE experience, with a strong background in all onshore rigs operations, drilling & workover activities. Knowledge of recent health, safety and environmental of best industry standards & policies applicable to D&WO, Well Control & HSE.
- NEBOSH IGC is mandatory.
- All valid relevant HSE training tickets not limited to CSE, H2S, Working at Height, Lifting, firefighting, etc (Train the trainer is preferable).
- Valid Incident investigation certification is mandatory (Tap-Root is preferable).
- To have direct exposure or experience with top oil and gas companies D&O operations will be an advantage.
- To have valid well control certification is an advantage.
