Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in SQL, data engineering, particularly in SSIS, and experience working with Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support our business needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using SSIS for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into Snowflake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries and data processes to ensure high performance and reliability of the data infrastructure.
- Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Document data pipelines, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to enhance our data infrastructure.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on SQL and SSIS.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database concepts.
- Hands-on experience working with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes using SSIS or similar tools.
- Familiarity with data modeling and schema design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
