Position: Oracle Administrator
Experience: 3-8 Years Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Gurgaon/Bangalore/Mumbai/Chennai (Onsite) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Administrator to join our team. As an Oracle Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our Oracle database systems. You will work closely with our IT and network teams to support our mission-critical applications and services.
Key Responsibilities - Database Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of system failures.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Implement tuning measures to enhance system efficiency.
- Security: Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and patch management, to protect sensitive data.
- High Availability: Set up and maintain high-availability solutions, such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and other relevant technologies.
- Patch Management: Keep the database systems up-to-date by applying patches and updates as necessary, following best practices.
- Database Design: Collaborate with application developers to assist in database schema design and optimization for new and existing applications.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and resolve issues before they impact system performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and application developers, to support business initiatives and projects.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle 19c or later.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other HA solutions.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
