Manager-Accounts
Role and the Person
The position is at the senior management level, accordingly the purpose and critical functions would be as follows:
Function (Dept) Purpose:
To ensure accurate and timely capture of all transaction data in a requisite format
Role Purpose:
To ensure timely (real time) and accurate data entry
The Key Expectations of the Role:
- Timely reconciliation with external stakeholders
- Responsive MIS for relevant internal stakeholders
- Systemic view of accounts*:
- Standards/policy-based data capture
- Chart of account based on accounting standards, compliance requirements and business requirements
- Tool/System based MIS
- Systematic delegation of financial power
The Competencies required to effectively take on this role:
- Contemporary knowledge of compliance rules and requirements
- Functional knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in operating IT based accounting applications and spreadsheets
- Highly process bound
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices*
