Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute the project plans following Product design process.
Develop and maintain a product architecture which supports the multi-year product plan, as development progresses.
Collaborate & effectively communicate with Mission based teams across organizations and vendors to meet the specification & project requirements.
Collaborate with Product and Customer facing team in the organizations and lead with appropriate technical and project reviews.
Support the development of plans for R&D to support multi-year objectives across multiple related product developments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
7+ years’ experience in Product Design working with design & research team.
Experience in design leaders with project members under guidance and leadership.
Experience in developing electromechanical/mechanical products involving mechanical mechanisms design.
Familiarity with a broad range of mechanical and electronic product manufacturing processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Desired Characteristics
Master’s Degree/Ph.D in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics Engineering
Experience with New Product Development process from concept stages to product launch.
Familiarity with electronic product definition methods and standards.
Exposure to supplier/vendor management.
Experience in developing miniatured electromechanical products.
Exposure to defining work packages for, and contract management of, subcontract design and manufacturing efforts.
