Responsibilities

: 1. Department Establishment and Policies: Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines for procurement activities. Creation and improvement of best-practice based processes for Indirect procurement with expertise in Admin. Set up reporting mechanisms and performance metrics. 2. Process Design and Implementation: To apply knowledge and expertise to assist the Business units in strategy development, tender execution, contract negotiation and supplier performance evaluation. Design end-to-end procurement processes, including requisition, purchase order, and payment workflows. Implement procurement tools and systems (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms). Streamline approval workflows and enhance efficiency.

3. Strategic Sourcing and Category Management: Identify and prioritize indirect spend categories with expertise in Admin, Marketing, HR, Ops & IT Category management. Develop sourcing strategies, identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements. Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

4. Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate the department’s purpose, goals, and benefits to internal stakeholders. Facilitate training sessions for employees on procurement processes and policies. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Legal, etc.).

5. MIS and Reports Monitor supplier performance and address any issues. Set up reporting mechanisms and performance metrics.

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Certifications : Procurement / leadership & strategic analysis skills / Negotiation would be preferred Experience : 15 + years of experience in Procurement management and vendor management Proven experience in indirect procurement especially in Admin and Infrastructure procurement Insurance Industry experience preferred. Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with procurement best practices. Change management expertise. Ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
