Job description
Collecting and interpreting data: Gathering data from various sources, both internal and external, and analyzing it to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
Cleaning and organizing data: Ensuring data quality by cleaning and transforming raw data into a usable format. This may involve data cleansing, data normalization, and data integration.
Performing statistical analysis: Applying statistical techniques to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions. This may include hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and data modeling.
Creating data visualizations: Presenting data in a visually appealing and understandable manner using charts, graphs, and dashboards. This helps stakeholders comprehend complex information and make data-driven decisions.
Developing and maintaining data models: Designing and implementing data models that support business requirements and enable efficient data analysis. This may involve database design, data schema development, and data architecture.
Collaborating with stakeholders: Working closely with business teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.
Identifying data trends and patterns: Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can provide valuable insights for business improvement, optimization, or risk mitigation.
Conducting ad-hoc analysis: Responding to specific data-related queries or requests from stakeholders by conducting ad-hoc analysis and providing relevant findings.
Ensuring data security and privacy: Adhering to data security and privacy regulations, implementing data protection measures, and maintaining data confidentiality.
Staying updated with industry trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities and improve data-driven decision-making.
Ability to understand business problems and work across a matrix to ensure alignment with technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidate will possess a minimum of at least 2 years of experience working as a data analyst.
Ability to work in a diverse work environment, manage multiple priorities, and at times, be self-directed.
Excellent written and communication skills are required.
Candidate must have a flexible and creative work style with a goal of attaining excellence.
2-4 years Proficiency in Excel and SQL and prior experience with data manipulation, extraction from databases for analysis a,nd mapping/ transformation
Experience with Power BI or Tableau
