Job description
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans and policies
- Experience in dental eligibility verification or billing
- Proficiency in using dental software and tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
Your main duties will include:
- Performing insurance eligibility verification to confirm coverage and benefits before each patient appointment
- Coordinating with front office staff to explain patient benefits and coverage, including deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and MOOP expenses
- Maintaining dental practice patient records for insurance purposes
- Resolving issues and discrepancies with insurance companies and patients
- Following up on claims and payments
