Job description
The Firmware Engineer I, Firmware Engineering is responsible for developing product application solutions that meet customer requirements while balancing governing regulations, product quality, and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all software/firmware development follows Agile or APD process
- Ensure urgent attention to escalations and released software/firmware bugs.
- Develops, validates, and documents software and firmware applications for dispenser platforms, payment systems, or communication between electrical, electro-mechanical, and user input subsystems.
- Interpret and implement application software in accordance with design and interface specifications.
- Integrate and perform validation testing to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Utilizes Agile & Lean development methodologies, and effectively operates with a global mindset.
Relationships
Reports to Team Lead or Manager, Embedded Systems or Electronic Engineering but will develop key relationships within Engineering team, as wells as Operations, Service, Marketing, and Sales
Measures of Performance
- Meeting objectives for organizational development for embedded system related projects
- Develops, validates, and documents software and firmware applications for dispenser platforms with utmost quality.
