Job Overview We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Longitude Constructions. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating and managing costs throughout the construction project lifecycle. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
Qualifications And Skills - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
- Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and quality standards
- Familiarity with project management principles
Roles And Responsibilities - Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with cost estimates
- Manage project budgets and provide regular reports to stakeholders
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative materials or construction methods
- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and review bills of quantities and other relevant documentation
- Monitor and track variations, additional works, and project changes
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and quality standards
