Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Longitude Constructions. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating and managing costs throughout the construction project lifecycle. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
  • Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and quality standards
  • Familiarity with project management principles

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects
  • Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with cost estimates
  • Manage project budgets and provide regular reports to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative materials or construction methods
  • Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare and review bills of quantities and other relevant documentation
  • Monitor and track variations, additional works, and project changes
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and quality standards
