Job description
As Lead Machine Learning Scientist you will help lead the design and implementation in the project, you will also have the opportunity to apply your modeling and data science skills to a number of different areas, with a particular focus on recommendations, system design, and A/B testing. The project team applies cutting edge machine learning techniques to a wide variety of areas, including recommenders, computer vision, and natural language processing.
Responsibilities: - Seek out new opportunities to apply data science and machine learning to the business (e.g., personalized recommendations, customer modeling and retention).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for applying ML.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of ML models for core business problems.
- Automate ETL pipelines for efficient data processing.
- Prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain new models in production
- Design and execute A/B tests to measure the impact of your solutions
- Discover new ways to analyze and interpret the data
- Communicate progress and interpretation of experimental results to technical and business stakeholders
- Lead the determination of next steps for each project.
External Skills And Expertise
Qualifications Must-Have: - Strong experience with Machine Learning & Statistics, especially in Recommender systems.
- Solid foundation on data structures and algorithms
- Expertise in Python for numerical and statistical programming (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Ability to write complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of A/B testing design and analysis
- Experience in leading deployments and maintaining ML models
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience with online businesses will be preferred and nice to have.
- PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field preferred
Qualifications Good To Have: - Experience with big data technologies, such as Snowflake/Spark is preferred.

Shift Timings: This position requires work hours alignment with UK Time Zone (i.e. 2pm to 11pm IST)
