Brief Overview of the Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Specialist to oversee and manage test automation projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves leading backend and UI test automation efforts, implementing automation strategies, and ensuring the integration of these strategies into the software delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage test automation efforts for backend (multiple microservices) and UI (Channels Android, iOS, mobWeb, and Web).
- Define and implement test automation strategies, frameworks, and best practices in alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Establish and improve test automation governance activities across projects.
- Evaluate and select appropriate commercial and open-source testing automation tools.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and product owner teams to define test automation requirements and establish testing milestones.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor team members in test automation practices and techniques.
- Establish and maintain test data and test environment management processes.
- Monitor and analyze test automation metrics, track test coverage, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Continuously assess and improve test automation framework processes and tools.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in test automation, CI/CD practices, containerization, and testing methodologies.
Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience: 6-9 years of experience in Automation Testing.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience in test automation with commercial and open-source tools (Selenium, RestAssured, Appium, TestNG) using Python/Java.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and integration of test automation suites.
- Familiarity with Docker, test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure/GCP).
- Proficiency in Java for developing and maintaining test automation scripts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
