Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a SQL Server Database Administrator, located in Bengaluru with flexibility for some remote work. The Database Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, database design, and troubleshooting to ensure the availability and performance of the databases that support the system. This person will work closely with technical teams, developers, and Data Analysts to provide support and ensure the scalability of the databases.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Database Administration concepts and best practices
- Experience in database replication, backup, and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of database design principles and experience in database programming
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and effectively
- Strong experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server 2012, 2014, and 2016
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields
- Experience with other databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Experience working with Cloud-based databases, such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database, is highly desirable
