To assist the business unit in increasing market share, right product offerings and setting financial goals by providing right information & data through a market research analysis & recommendation.
Design, compile and improve marketing metrics to provide operational and strategic information including market segmentation, volume trends by customer, channel, and market, sales history, including gross margin, and marketing campaign performance including ROI analysis of all marketing campaign and sales activities
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop reports supporting each manager
Deliver timely and accurate reports to management.
Develop presentations explaining the company’s performance by customer, geographical region, and market by partnering with sales and marketing representatives.
Collect customer demographic information and market data (e.g., competition prices, distribution channels, industry sales) through primary research methods (such as questionnaires, surveys and focus groups) and secondary research (information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts). .
Organize and maintain key information in a research database.
Work with Product Management to identify new market opportunities and work with beta-customers to complete concept-testing for new products.
Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between marketing actions and financial outcomes to increase profitability
Build a marketing dashboard that visualizes key performance indicators and works on a variety of market research/analyst initiatives and makes recommendations
Perform benchmarking and business, market, and economic analysis
Develop tools and methodologies, conduct research/analysis, interpret/evaluate data for new products or markets, and make internal and external presentations on their findings
Discover and evaluate competitive information and strategies, product offerings, pricing patterns and development plans
Conducting basic market research to determine market share and other relevant business environment indicators, monitor competitive environment including competitor products and product reviews
Conducting research/analysis on quantitative and qualitative data for new product development and product positioning; and to determine relevant business environment indicators
Assisting in the management of business efforts to achieve financial and market share goals
Other job-related duties as needed to support business efforts and to fulfill positive and proactive Marketing, Sales, and Finance efforts.

MBA in marketing with 5+ years of experience in marketing research
At least 3 years of experience in a corporate market research, new product research, or market research capacity, or marketing agency
