About Business Line
Trade Portal application is a trading system for most of the assets managed in SSGA. It uses the Sentinel & Minerva for compliance and actual trading respectively. Trade Portal is used to manage the entire trading lifecycle of all transactions. It provides the system api and UI both. System APIs are used by various other SSGA portfolio construction tools to send the trades to execute and UI is provided for the Portfolio Managers to place the trade into the system manually. In order to manage the lifecycle of the trades, Trade Portal system has multiple systematic integrations to upload trades, download status and many.
Key Responsibilities & Experience Range
The ideal candidate will be:
- Contribute as a Senior Business Analyst involving in requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, user acceptance testing and monitoring the trading system
- Lead and Manage Business Analysts team
- Requirements includes new functional requirements / projects, trade workflow enhancements, report generations for clients, regulatory requirements, automation projects and migration projects
- Prepare implementation proposal to the business and IT, and also carry out the testing strategy
- Deep analysis and detailed understanding of the system and capturing them in details
- Take over the knowledge from the vendor SME team to support the system from the captive
- Plan and execute integration and user acceptance testing
- Perform functional and data analysis for the support queries / defects raised
- Understand the business priorities and ensure the team delivers those priorities
- Involve in Agile practice and be as scrum master as required
- Utilize JIRA and supporting tools effectively, create required dashboard as per the project need
- Collaborate with various teams (Business, Global IT counterparts, external application counterparts)
- Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications.
Skills & Knowledge
Qualification & Certifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT industry as Business Analyst
- Work experience in placing trading and using Trading systems / Portfolio Management systems
- Investment Banking domain certification or CFA certification
- Master's Degree in any discipline
Primary Skills (Must Have)
- Solid Business Analyst experience in software development of finance application
- Strong knowledge in investment banking and multiple asset classes
- Good knowledge in Trading compliance rules
- Work experience with Global business stakeholders at various time zones
- SDLC Agile practice, JIRA Tool
- Basic database knowledge for simple data analysis independently using SQL queries
- Experience in creating diagrams, artifacts using the collaborative tools like confluence
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written communications
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
- Manage Audits in the application functions
- Scrum Master
