Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1.    Design stage inputs on welding to designers based on the application (Mechanical, electrical, and thermal)
2.    Welding type and welding configuration inputs and Study
3.    Defining the welding qualification procedure 
4.    Welding process improvement and qualification as per the standards
5.    Welding feasibility study and decide the welding machine 
6.    Establishing the DOE for welding trials
7.    Mechanical and metallurgical study of the welding and qualification of the welding.
8.    Design of the fixtures for Laser welding 
9.     Knowledge on the materials and laser welding process
10.    Benchmarking of the Laser welding application
11.    Certified NDT level 2
12.    New materials study and welding trials
13.    Proving the proto builds using supplier or Inhouse facility
14.    Testing and Validation of the weld joints
15.    Lesson learnt PPT from the projects and Improvement actions on the projects.

skills critical for role:
1. Knowledge about Laser welding technologies
2. Knowledge about Type of cells functions and appications
3. Cell /Module / Battery pack - testing and validation knowledge
4. Knowledge to provide design inputs
5. Experiencing in Welding perameters in various application

Experience

2-4 years

Industry Preferred

Any automotive industry, Tier 1, EV

Qualifications

BE in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

General Requirements

1. Knowledge about basic Welding technologies
2. DFMEA, DVP, DVPR, Failure analysis, 8D reports
3. Report generation, MS office tools knowledge
4. handling multipul project requirements
5.Handling  Conern Tracking sheet for each project and closer status
