Job description
Position: Security Officer, Mumbai.
Business: Property and Asset Management, Mumbai.
What This Job Involves You will oversee and ensure fire safety at your site. You will use the assigned apparatus and follow the command structure instructions for fire suppression or a related emergency service. Your duties will involve:
- He shall be polite but firm on duty.
- He shall be familiar with the whole structure of the building.
- He shall patrol the property after every 01 hour and same to be recorded in the report register.
- He shall always have emergency telephone number list on body while on duty post.
- He shall co-ordinate training for the security personnel at the site.
- He shall assist Security In charge in his day to day activity of the building.
- He shall ensure security checklist is updated.
- He shall record checked the fit out material inward and outward movement of the Resident.
- He shall patrol the building and ensure staircases, drive way, and passages are free from obstruction
- He shall observe contractor labor working in his area.
- Any untoward incident shall be recorded in the report book and the information of the same will be given to the Security In charge.
- He shall ensure the guards are familiar with their post wise duties.
- Supervisor in all shifts shall ensure that all registers in his shift are updated.
- He shall be familiar with the PA system install in the building.
- He shall be familiar with the layout of the fire system, plumbing and electrical system in the facility.
- He shall be familiar with the entrapment rescue procedure for the elevators installed in the building.
- He shall be familiar with the emergency procedure of the building.
- He shall ensure no work is carried out in the lobby/ floor without prior intimation from the JLL office.
- He shall not allow any work on the terrace without permission from the facilities representative.
- He shall be known about fit-out rules and regulation.
- He shall control lobby area, for any contractor, visitor entering in lifts area.
- Maintain relieve record of guard.
- On Holiday maintain check list of key, PA system, FHC box material status with the help of guard.
- He shall check and sign the post register with time mentioned while on round of the Tower.
- He is the one point person to make the ID card to all the fit out labor and vendor at site.
- He shall be polite but firm on duty.
- He shall be familiar with the whole structure of the building.
- He shall always have emergency telephone number list on body while on duty post.
- He shall ensure there is no gathering of person at the gate and also of public transport in front of the gate.
- He will ensure the smooth traffic flow and strict lanes system is followed while entry
- He shall assist Security In charge in his day to day activity of the building.
- He shall ensure security checklist vehicle is updated.
- He shall record the material inward and outward movement of the Resident
- Keep all the registers and documents pertaining to security in safe custody and ensure that they are properly maintained.
- Ensure that the entry gate is opened and locked everyday at the specified time.
- Ensure that vehicles are not parked in front of the main gate.
- He shall patrol the building and ensure staircases, drive way, and passages are free from obstruction.
- Any untoward incident shall be recorded in the report book and the information of the same will be given to the Security In charge.
- He shall ensure the guards are familiar with their post wise duties.
- Supervisor in night shift shall ensure that all registers in his shift are updated.
- He shall be familiar with the layout of the fire system, plumbing and electrical system in the property.
- He shall be polite but firm on duty.
- He should have the security deployment strength of his shift.
- He shall be leading example to his subordinate.
- He shall be familiar with the whole structure of the building.
- He shall ensure the guards are familiar with their post wise duties.
- He shall be familiar with the emergency procedure like Bomb Threat, FIRE PREVENTION procedure of the building.
- He shall patrol the property from time to time and same to be recorded in the report register.
- He shall always have emergency telephone number list at security office.
- He shall assist all report to Security Manager in his day to day activity of the building.
- He shall ensure all security checklist is updated.
- He shall ensure that material inward and outward movement is maintained.
- He shall patrol the building and ensure staircases, drive way, and passages are free from obstruction.
- Any untoward incident shall be recorded in the report book and the information of the same will be given to the duty officer (JLL).
- He shall co-ordinate training for the security personnel for the site.
- Supervisor in night shift shall ensure that all registers in his shift are updated.
- He shall be familiar with the PA system install in the property.
- While doing the in night shift he will see that all the document and report are complete at site and submit in day shift.
- He shall be polite but firm on duty.
- He shall greet and follow phone etiquettes. As per time say Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good evening. Mention floor and his department and say how I may help you. E.g.:-'GOOD MORNING Main gate security HOW MAY I HELP YOU'
- He shall observe all movement in lobby area.
- Relive LIFT MAN timely while on Duty hrs.
- He shall ensure the F/A are familiar with their post wise duties.
- He shall be familiar with the emergency procedure like Bomb Threat, FIRE PREVENTION procedure of the building.
- He shall patrol the lobby from time to time and same to be recorded in the report register.
- He shall assist all report to security supervisor in his day to day activity of the building.
- He must familiarize him/herself with the area of responsibility and if anything improper is found on taking over the post, must report to the Security Supervisor.
- Will NOT frisk the visitors unless there is a strong reason to suspect the visitor. Will, however, keep a strict vigil on each visitor entering the Lobby by watching the gait, eye movement, packages/purses being carried, etc.
- Any untoward incident shall be recorded in the report book and the information of the same will be given to the security supervisor.
- He shall attendant the emergency call which is hanging near the lift lobby.
- He shall also keep tracking from the fit out labor material entry only from material lift.
- He will be the reliever for all four lift man
- He shall be familiar with the entrapment rescue procedure for the elevators installed in the building.
- He shall be familiar with the emergency procedure of the building.
- He shall greet and follow phone etiquettes. As per time say Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good evening. Mention floor and his department and say how I may help you. E.g.:-'GOOD MORNING Ground floor security HOW MAY I HELP YOU'.
- He shall control Gate area, for any contractor, visitor, fit-out labor entering in building premises without visitor badge or contractor pass.
- Maintain relieve record of guard.
- On Holiday maintain check list of key, FHC box all register material status with the help of guard.
- He shall check and sign the post register with time mentioned while on round of the facility.
- With the help of security guard he has to maintain both the gate from outside the premises and see that no hawker and vendor are standing.

- He must familiarize himself with the area of responsibility and if anything improper is found on taking over the post, must report to the Security Supervisor
- He shall take round all podium premises if found subspecies immediately report to security supervisor.
- After 10:00 PM do not allow anyone to club house area.
- He shall be familiar with the whole structure of the building.
- He shall be familiar with the emergency procedure like Bomb Threat, FIRE PREVENTION procedure of the building.
- He shall patrol the podium area from time to time and same to be recorded in the report register.
- He shall also take care of all the kids which are playing in podium and also to take responsibility for not too allowed anybody to go inside the swimming area.
- During any party and function which is happening at podium he should take care of the building property.
- He should escort the resident and kids not to damage any society property.
- He shall be polite but firm on duty.
- He shall be familiar with the whole structure of the building.
- He shall always have emergency telephone number list on body while on duty post.
- Every morning check that how many vehicles are park inside of parking area.
- If you found any vehicles door is open or tire puncture, so immediately call to senior
- He shall ensure security vehicle checklist is updated in night shift..
- He shall record the vehicle movement in and out at parking area.
- He shall take the patrolling of the basement as there is STP room, Pump room Fire tank along the entire fire pump.
- He will take the entry of any person coming down the basement to do the work in the restricted area.
- Any wrong parking & car damage incident shall be recorded in the report book and the information of the same will be given to the Security supervisor.
- He shall keep a strict vigil on the vehicle parked in the parking area; any suspicious movement should be immediately reported to the security supervisor on duty.
- He shall ensure parking of vehicle as per designated parking slot of the Owners/Visitors.
- He will keep observation on wrong parking for 4-Wheelers and 2-Wheelers and inform the same to Security supervisor
- He shall ensure that no vendor work is carried out in the parking area without Work Permit. And carry out check of work permit while on patrolling.
- Day & night shift shall ensure that vehicle registers in his shift are updated.
- He shall be familiar with the layout of the fire system and electrical system in the building.
- General Instruction:
- Check Lights / leakages.
- Check for any damages nearby your post.
- Check for any suspicious person or their movements,
- Observe & follow all Safety norms.
Note: If you find above incidents in our premises, do immediately report to your seniors.
