At ECL, our vision is to enable border agnostic access to capital for businesses in emerging markets, such as India, so that they can benefit from lower capital costs that are available in markets such as the U.S. Our mission is to innovate for businesses and solve two of their biggest challenges: access to capital and cost of capital.

We offer non-dilutive capital financing of up to US$1M for a fixed annual fee , with a 12 month repayment term . We serve our customers in a fast, seamless and cost-effective manner that doesn't require them to spend months of time and thousands of dollars in negotiating complex equity raises through preferred stock issuance.

About This Role

We are now hiring for Head of Sales(India), who will report directly to the India GM.

This is a quota carrying role and you will be responsible for fund disbursement targets based on your quota. We are looking for someone who is experienced in B2B Sales, particularly in the financial services/fintech space.

This is a mid-senior role where you will be interfacing with C-level stakeholders on a daily basis (given the nature of our product, buying decisions are made by the CEO/CFO only). You will also be building and managing a top-performing sales team as we grow.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Take the prospect customers from awareness/interest stage to closure/fund-disbursal stage
  • Articulate benefits of non-dilutive funding and ECL products for customers
  • Address any sales objections
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive paperwork for sale closure (NDA, agreements, etc.)
  • Provide input to product team based on sales conversations so that customer feedback and input can be incorporated into future versions of the product
  • Work with the lead generation team to maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects in the CRM system. Prepare periodic reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in industry events.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience of handling a quota carrying sales role in a B2B, ideally fintech/financial services setting
  • If you do not have this experience then please specify clearly in your cover letter what makes you interested in this role and how you intend to compensate for your lack of experience
  • Diligence, persistence, and rigour required to stay course on deals with long sales cycles
  • Ability to work independently in an extremely fast paced environment
  • An MBA or a degree in a financial discipline
