Hiring for Indirect Purchasing Leader for Retail Company

Experience 5-6 Years

Role Challenge :
Act as a business partner
- Translate United category strategy in to a local purchasing strategy
- Builds relevant local supplier panel in accordance with the strategic business objectives and CSR guidelines
- Cascades Orchestrate and monitors implementation of Local policies and guidelines
- Contributes to the development of purchasing synergies
- Tracks and reports local category performance
Responsibilities :
- Develops and deploys purchasing strategy at the local level
- Sets up and deploys local purchasing category strategy
- Challenges business on specs levels and needs
- Work on deploying of knowledge development and best practices sharing (process and tools including digital e.g., catalog, marketplace) at a local level
- Monitors performance, defines budget impact and optimizes spending for the level of service
- Defines the financial ambition and the sourcing budget for all purchasing categories at a local level
- Sets up savings, capture governance with regular touchpoints by Category, including local Finance Leaders, to ensure robust performance tracking
- Prepares annual and long-term strategic sourcing plans at local level for the category
- Ensures transparency on spending and performance on the category
- Ensures adherence to United purchasing policies, strategy and standards
- Orchestrates, defines and deploys local purchasing strategy in alignment with United level
- Ensures adherence in purchasing process and policies in the market in line with united and local purchasing standards
- Ensures implementation of CSR, risks & innovation policy for new and existing suppliers

- Deep understanding of negotiation processes
- Understanding of legal implications of competitive tendering processes as well as any internal policies (e.g., code of ethics)
- Mastery of digital tools
Experience
- Experience in purchasing
- Experience in Managing large cross-functional teams

- EUR Savings/cost avoidance for this supplier
- Quality of purchased goods and levels of services
- Payment terms
- Risk management, in collaboration with United risk team
- Improvement of non financial performance (e.g.,CSR, Sustainability, process implementation)
