We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to oversee our daily operations and ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of goods. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of driversand coordinating logistics operations to meet customer demands. Your ability to lead and inspire your team, coupled with your strong organizational and problem-solving skills, will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities - Manage and supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Monitor and optimize driver performance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and delivery standards.
- Communicate with customers to address any delivery-related inquiries or issues.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and reporting.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain high-quality service.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance overall operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve service quality.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and tools.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
