Job description

Cloud Architect (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Overview

:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions that meet our clients' business objectives while leveraging the capabilities of leading cloud platforms. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, design scalable and resilient architectures, and provide guidance on best practices for cloud adoption and optimization.

Key Responsibilities: Cloud Solution Design:

Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures that leverage the features and services offered by AWS, Azure, and GCP. Develop high-level and detailed architecture diagrams, including compute, storage, networking, security, and identity management components. Cloud Migration Strategy:

Collaborate with clients to assess their current infrastructure and applications, and develop migration strategies for moving workloads to the cloud. Provide guidance on lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture approaches, and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources. Develop reusable templates and scripts to streamline deployment and ensure consistency across environments. Security and Compliance:

Design and implement security controls and compliance measures to protect cloud environments and data. Define security policies, configure access controls, and monitor for security threats using native cloud security services and third-party tools. High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

Design resilient architectures with built-in redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability and business continuity. Implement disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions to protect against data loss and service interruptions. Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize cloud resources to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Implement scaling policies, auto-scaling groups, and performance tuning techniques to dynamically adjust resource allocation based on workload demand. DevOps Integration:

Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud-native development practices and tools into CI/CD pipelines. Implement automated deployment workflows, containerization using Docker or Kubernetes, and monitoring and logging solutions for cloud-based applications. Cost Analysis and Optimization:

Analyze cloud usage and expenditure data to identify cost drivers, trends, and areas of inefficiency. Develop strategies and recommendations for optimizing cloud spending while balancing performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. Resource Right-Sizing:

Assess and right-size cloud resources, including compute instances, storage volumes, and database instances, to match workload demands and eliminate over-provisioning. Implement automated scaling policies and tools to dynamically adjust resource allocation based on usage patterns. Reserved Instances and Savings Plans:

Evaluate and recommend the purchase of Reserved Instances (RIs) or Savings Plans to secure discounted pricing for predictable workloads and long-term commitments. Optimize RI utilization and coverage to maximize cost savings without sacrificing flexibility. Cloud Governance and Best Practices:

Define cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on cost management, resource tagging, and account structure to optimize cloud usage and billing.

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience (10+ years) designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP. Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management. Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions, and serverless architectures. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automation, and configuration management. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
