The Capital Product team sits within the Treasury and Chief Investment Office and is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure required to support the calculation and reporting of Capital and other Capital related disclosures. The team partners closely across functions including Technology, Capital Management, Capital Production and Lines of Business to deliver key priorities for the firm including the implementation of ongoing regulatory changes and the development of a new reporting and analytics application.

Job Responsibilities

  • Documents and delivers of comprehensive, high quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications for the UK and EU Regulatory platform, including detailed Regulatory Calculations and Reporting Requirements for review and sign off by UK and EU Regulatory Reporting Teams
  • Works with the wider UK/EU Regulatory Reporting function to support and address regulation specific queries
  • Collaborate across functional and technology teams to gather requirements and execute project plan to completion, ensuring high quality delivery
  • Inputs into the Operating Model requirements to support the transition to BAU and prepares detailed test cases and expected results
  • Performs User Acceptance Testing and implementation plans
  • Adheres to a challenging delivery schedule in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Escalates timely issues to the Project Manager ensuring robust risk mitigation strategies and supports the wider agenda of the UK/EU Reg Reporting Change team

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written - at all levels
  • A self-starter, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive approach to work and good knowledge of Regulatory Capital rules
  • A strong and experienced business analyst who brings the full suite of the business analyst skillset (requirement gathering, documentation, problem solving, data analysis, testing) and experience working on regulatory capital projects for the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Bank of England (BoE)
  • Experience leading others and driving work streams and understanding of project management and PMO activities and the experience delivering projects on schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – MS Excel , MS Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Experienced with both Banking and Trading book products
  • An understanding of key Data Governance and Principals
  • UK Regulatory Reporting background, inputting into COREP returns
  • Query large datasets using SQL, Python, etc.
