Generic Level & Role Definition:
Implementation This role is an opportunity created within our Engineered Systems (ES) Projects Business to join as a Commercial Engineer into our Inquiry to Order (ITO) team. The candidate will provide and assume responsibility for proposal activities, basic process designs, budgetary and final proposals within an assigned region, as well as periodic support for other Commercial Engineers within the group. Objective : 1. Lead and Co-ordinate all ES project related Proposal / bid phase activities for specific region 2. Successful and productive collaboration with the sales team in development of 3. opportunities and hence drive business growth. 4. Establishing a strong internal network to enhance successful collaboration with all 5. internal functions that are involved in a ES project all the way from proposal (ITO-Inquiry to Order) to execution- OTR (Order to Remittance) Roles and responsibilities 1. Timely preparation of budgetary and final proposals for simple and complex projects with multiple water and wastewater treatment technologies 2. Work with Process engineers to develop process designs bringing value to customer 3. Generate/Coordinate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings 4. Apply costing and process design strategies to position the company in the early stages of project development and to increase probability & success. 5. Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, authorization of Order Packages and sales forecasting. 6. Support development and closure of key deals to maximize revenue generation 7. Support Sales teams to properly structure a deal and optimize profitability through a thorough understanding of the project life cycle costs and financing requirements where applicable 8. Support Sales teams to structure deals to combine equipment, services and specialty chemicals and clearly develop & communicate value propositions for each Projects offering 9. Support Sales teams in the continuous development and/or fine tuning of country specific business plans and market research. 10. Experience in costing / proposals for multi-process extended scope water & wastewater treatment solutions. Essential Technical Responsibilities / Expectations: Must Have Requirements Able to plan and formulate proposal Engineering deliverables in water or wastewater Industry Processes and Products. Relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering or equipment supply is a must. 1. Able to understand water chemistry, identify red flags, to be able to select unit operations and design conventional as well modern pretreatment like ultrafiltration, Design RO system for various water and wastewater applications, design biological system, understanding of thermal evaporator system. 2. Knowledge of Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Separation Technologies and Membrane Process Equipment and the experience in running RO / EDI projections, Filtration System dosing/chemical injection calculations 3. Able to review Tender electromechanical specifications, Engineering design standards, Proposal Playbook, safety and customer contract requirements and come up with right process and product selection. 4. Able to develop Process Description, Process Calculations, PFD, PID, Layouts 5. Able to develop Capex, Opex, O&M, ROI calculations to optimize the Process, schedule and cost of the project while ensuring feasibility of execution. 6. Knowledge on Materials / Metallurgy on metallic and nonmetallic Pumps, valves, Equipment's, pipes and fittings 7. Able to priorities bids or multiple activities and work independently 8. Able to interface with customer’s technical representatives and Veolia Lead Engineers, Sourcing, Finance with minimal Proposal Manager intervention. Good to Have Requirements 1. Experience in developing waste and water treatment proposals for F&B industry including membrane systems, thermal ZLD systems or UPW treatment in semiconductor industry will be of added advantage. 2. Experience working on international projects utilizing exceptional communication, interpersonal skills. 3. Able to conduct global design reviews 4. Knowledge on Design tools, international codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc., 5. Knowledge on Electrical, Instrumentation and control systems applicable for water and wastewater Schemes and Products Education: Bachelor's in mechanical / chemical / environmental engineering or other technical discipline Experience : 7-12 YearsJob tags
