Job description
Abnormal Security is looking for a member to join the IT Desktop Support team to support both our local office staff and remote employees. As a fast-growing cybersecurity company, it is imperative we scale our technology support processes while maintaining a secure environment that balances the challenges of superior security practices, with user experience and productivity. This role will be responsible for supporting both in office and remote employees, focusing on our India based teams, but able to support general requests for people outside of this zone as well.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to both support users, and see opportunities to increase our efficiency in processes and collaborate with our worldwide team.

What you will do
- Field support tickets logged by users, triage and respond as appropriate. Hitting SLA targets in line with the IT organization goals.
- Own the management of IT assets and tracking and keep these up to date with a high degree of accuracy.
- Support the in office hoteling operations including the deployment of equipment, tracking of usage, platforms and products for collaborating that improve on Zoom.
- Support users all around technical needs from hardware based issues(such as repairs) to software issues such as password resets, cloud app access permissions and helping to keep users secure as they operate in these environments.
- Be prepared to get your hands dirty in making our office a superior experience for employees through the installation of technology at desks and in conference rooms.
Must Haves
- A skilled professional who has excellent communication and face to face skills.
- Strong knowledge of cloud applications such as:
- Google Workplace
- Slack
- Zoom
- Light Office365 admin management
- Hardware / fleet management
- Well versed in the support of Apple products with some experience in Windows support being ideal
- A team player that understands the importance of collaboration but can also take direction and drive the resolution of issues to completion with minimal supervision
- Someone with a focus on customer support and satisfaction
- 2-4 years experience in IT support
- Works comfortably in a startup environment, particularly a self-starter, eager to problem solve, able to perform under pressure and be comfortable with partial fluidity as the company quickly grows
- Conducts work with integrity, consistency and responsibility
Nice to Have
- Experience dealing with remote teams, deploying infrastructure in a hybrid remote company
- Apple hardware management and support experience such as JAMF
- Knowledge of Gsuite admin management
- Knowledge of Zoom; both rooms and the end user clients
- Slack administration
- Office365 admin management
- Hardware / fleet management
- Experience with IT ticketing systems
