Job description
Lookingfor Team player, who directs, administers, controls and responsible forday-to-day operations and activities of application and infra support team.Coordinating between support and Ops/BU team to prioritize the issues andfinding solution, regular reporting and conducting service review meetings. Administrating / supportingnetwork , middleware, OS and DB components jointly with vendor team.
- Role mandates detailed technical skills,strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound experience on leadingand administrative tasks.
- Leadand prioritize Application Support team s workload and shift schedule planning.
- Manageand Own the Problem Management Process, Develop, co-ordinate and promote the effectivefunctioning of problem management activities across all support teams.
- Contributeto the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configurationchanges.
- Toexamine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals with theService Manager.
- Providetechnical leadership and drive the war room session during emergencyapplication outages.
- Capacitymanagement Perform regular review of server resources using monitoring toolslike Dynatrace, HP OVPM and ensure the capacity within threshold limit.
- Interactwith internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolvecomplex problems.
- Designappropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators,particularly in terms of in-depth trend analysis.
- Provide3rd line Application Support on complex internally and externally developedapplications.
- Provideinput to administering and maintaining all production and internal environments.
- Provideinput to the implementation, backup and roll-back plans.
- Followappropriate organizational policies (i.e., change management process (CAB),dependencies, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem andincident management.)
- Enablesystem/application/access log/network traffic monitoring, define the thresholdand enable alerting.
- ManageExternal Link Requests (ELR) requests understanding the applicationrequirements by creating and implementing irule setups and bigIPconfigurations. Ensure the network configurations are as per securitystandards.
- Coordinateto install the utilities/software s on Linux machine to support the applicationsupport/development.
- Coordinatewith support team to provide the business critic reports and stats.
- Preparenew application/functionality rollout to new location/regions.
- knowledgeon middleware components, Linux OS, Networking, micro services and ITILprocesses.
- Experiencewith supporting multi-tier infrastructures.
- Experiencewith supporting Angular, Java, Spring based applications and an understandingof web technology.
- Expertin Oracle, MYSQL, PostgreSQL databases + PL SQL script knowledge.
- Knowledgeon Cloud architecture is added advantage.
- Goodto have Retail and Logistics domain knowledge.
- Creative, problem-solving skillsand ability to work conceptually.
- Goodat managing customer/client relationship.
- Abilityto stick to deadlines and priorities.
