Job Description
Proactive monitoring on the network devices like Routers, Switches & Links.
Performing normal startup and shutdown of routers, switches and modems.
Tracking existing IOS & patch installation with coordination of the AMC vendor.
Build and configure redundant links, equipment (switches & routers) to handle eventuality & reduce down time.
New authentication configuration using Cisco Secure ACS (TACACS).
Monitoring thresholds for router CPU usage, memory usage, bandwidth usage, error % Dropped Packets.
Follow-up on Unresolved incidents with end users / vendors / on site engineers if required.
Escalation of unresolved incidents to L2 engineer.
Performing router, switch, and modem reconfiguration
Coordinating with the vendors for the WAN uptime
