Job description
As a UX Researcher, your primary responsibility will be to gather and analyze user insights to inform the design and development of digital products and services. You will conduct various research methods to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of intuitive and user-centered experiences. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing user satisfaction, engagement, and overall product success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research: Plan, design, and execute user research studies, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- User behavior analysis: Analyze user data and derive meaningful insights to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving user experiences.
- Persona development: Create user personas based on research findings to facilitate the understanding and empathy towards target users.
- Usability testing: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate prototypes or existing products, identify usability issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate user research findings into the product development process.
- User journey mapping: Develop user journey maps to visualize and communicate the user's end-to-end experience across different touchpoints.
- Stakeholder communication: Effectively communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Industry and competitor analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices in UX research to contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes.
- Research planning and documentation: Plan research activities, create research plans, and document research findings, insights, and recommendations in a structured manner.
- User testing tools and platforms: Utilize various user testing tools and platforms to conduct remote or in-person research studies efficiently.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, User Experience, or a related field.
- Proven experience: 3+ years of professional experience in UX research or a similar role, preferably in a digital product development environment.
- Research methods: Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, and data analysis.
- Data analysis: Strong analytical skills to derive insights from user data and research findings.
- Empathy and communication: Ability to empathize with users and effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers.
- UX tools: Familiarity with UX design and research tools, such as prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD), user testing platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, UserZoom), and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable research data collection and analysis.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing past UX research projects and methodologies is highly desirable.
