Role:
Windows Server & VMWare Administrator Years of experience: 3-8 years Level of hiring: L2 (Senior Engineer) & L3 (Specialist) Location: Bangalore/Chennai & Mumbai Primary Skills: VMWare, Window & Linux Server, Azure AD, Active Directory, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Backup & Restore, Patch management, implementation & support. Other Preference: Excellent communication & Immediate joiners are highly preferred. Roles & Responsibilities: Monitoring and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers. Server health-check and upkeep using scripts wherever possible. Create, customize, & maintain start-up & operational command procedures for all Servers. Perform Server start-ups and shutdowns as required for Normal Operations, emergency situations, and recovery efforts. User Management including creation, Deletion managing permissions of local users and service accounts. Install and Configure hardware to meet hypervisor (VMWare)/virtualization manager requirements. Perform routine optimization of the hypervisor & migrate a server to the hypervisor. Configure virtual networking where required. Configure remote administration via a variety of remote access tools, including RDP. Create and manage virtualization templates, profiles, and images. Create, Monitor, optimize & configure high availability for virtual machines. Manage snapshots and backups of the hypervisor and virtual machines, where applicable Ensure all critical OS Patches are applied to all Devices in timely manner upon approval from Customer and other stake holders. Ensure that any specialized or add-on software for volume/file system management, clustering, monitoring, backup/restore, security are all up to date as per Customer Policies, Standards and Guidelines Ensure that all firmware and microcode for disk arrays, SAN switches, network Switches, Servers, HBAs, other Devices are all interoperable per vendor specifications. Stopping and starting services on physical, virtual, and cloud servers Creation and updating of Network Security Groups Provisioning and configuration of new SCIM bridges Required Experience/Skills: 3-8 years of experience in Window Server, VMWare, (Wintel), Linux, AD, IAM In-depth knowledge of Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 Strong hands-on experience on Microsoft PowerShell (added advantage) Experience with large scale data center architecture and implementation. Familiarity with local & wide area networks Experience in operating in ITIL process driven projects. In-depth knowledge on Azure cloud (added advantage)Job tags
