Job Summary:
Designation: Head of Engineer
Location: Mumbai
Candidate Profile: - Proven experience leading a substantial engineering team, ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.
- Deep technical expertise in Cloud and DevOps Engineering, Software Engineering/Application Development with a track record of hands-on experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive vision and purpose, foster innovation, and build effective teams.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, adept at navigating complex situations and influencing outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, project delivery, and operational management.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. A master's degree or higher is preferable.
Experience: - Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a professional services or consulting environment, delivering high-quality technical solutions.
- Extensive experience in Cloud and DevOps Engineering, as well as Software Engineering/Application Development.
Technical Proficiency: - Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud service providers, especially AWS and GCP.
- Proficiency in modern engineering practices, including automation, CI/CD, and IaC.
- Knowledge of multiple front-end and back-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, Python, Ruby).
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or similar credentials.
Leadership Skills: - Strong leadership and organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
- Ability to inspire and foster a cooperative work environment, facilitating collaboration and encouraging team development and growth.
Business Acumen: - Strong commercial experience, understanding of business drivers, and ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders including C-level executives.
- Experience in developing strategic plans, setting and managing budgets, and understanding the financial implications of business decisions.
Communication: - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the proficiency to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels across the business and in client organizations.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical and business concepts to diverse audiences.
Problem Solving: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of setting and achieving ambitious goals.
- Proven ability to navigate complex situations, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
