Job description

Position: L2/L3 Desktop Support Engineer

Job function: Information Technology

Job Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

First/secondlevel contact and problem resolution for customer issues.

Timely communication on issue status and resolution.

Install upgrade support and troubleshooting OS such as XP Windows 7 Windows 8.1 Windows 10 Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365.

Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers laptops iPad mobile devices printers.

Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware/software.

Smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware including but not limited to monitors keyboards mice printers fax machines scanners routers wireless routers switches vpn firewalls racks cabinets multiport data termination panels all under Smart Hands capability.

Troubleshooting issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills & troubleshooting & resolving issues related to enduser network cabling.

Intune Management set up devices for email RSA authentication VPN connectivity device compliance and troubleshooting.

What are the main requirements for this job

The ideal candidate should have 3 years of experience in Desktop support.

This is Hybrid Job with up to 2 days in customer location and rest remote.

Who are you

Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts. Ability to perform smart hand activity under instructionbased activities at sites.

Experience in installing technical troubleshooting and fixing desktops printers laptops and other computer peripherals hardware problems as well as desktop applications.

Expert in desk side support and PC break/fix including basic administration of Windows O/S and MAC/Linux OS (preferred) and Mac OS/Apple device troubleshooting.

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking DNS DHCP VPN and RDP

Experience with Microsoft Intune/Entra ID and Autopilot are required.

Experience with remote desktop tools.

Experience with Office 365 Troubleshooting

Experience with MFA setup.

Experienced in Problem management.

Excellent written and oral communications skills with clients and management as well as people skills.

Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on time. Take proactive ownership and work with a sense of urgency.

Good understanding and troubleshooting of IOS and Android devices and apps.

Knowledge of Amazon AWS VDI Microsoft Teams Zoom SharePoint and OneDrive.

Experience with Mimecast

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills Required

Open to Night Shifts/Weekend On call (as per CST time zone)

Education Requirement

Bachelor s in engineering or BTech (Computer Science or Telecom)

Bachelor s in engineering requirement waived for Candidates who have CCIE and any bachelor s degree.
