New Product Development Engineer

Job description

KGEPL is looking for an experienced New Product Development Engineer. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring that the products meet the highest safety and Quality Standards for Products for the Oil and Gas Industry.

Primary Responsibilities: 

1. Managing the new product development lifecycle, from conceptualization, designing, prototyping, trial production to commercial production, while adhering to timelines. 
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Tool Room, and Quality assurance for the new products development. 
3. Conducting Technical and risk assessment and design appraisal to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Also assisting the product testing team for approvals by third party laboratories. 
4. Providing technical assistance and support to internal and external stakeholders. 

Qualifications: B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation 

Other Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in SolidWorks software for Product design, modelling and Assemblies is a must. 
2. Proven experience in New Product Development. If prior experience is in the field of Oil and gas, Pneumatics and Hydraulics this could be an added advantage. 
3. Strong knowledge of engineering materials, processes and the ability to interpret and understand design and product standards (EN, ISO, UL, ASTM etc.)
4. Great communication skills, management skills with ability to plan, execute, monitor and control. 

Experience: 5- 10 Years. 

Languages: Fluent in English and Basic communication in Hindi and/or Telugu.
